As I've gotten older, my Christmas joy has shifted from receiving gifts to giving them. Now a senior in high school, I'm putting my family's gifts together, and I'm pretty excited. My sister is infatuated with Harry Styles, so I have some merchandise for her. For my parents, I have this huge scrapbook of everything I did in high school for them, including senior pictures and tear-jerking letters. It's going to be an emotional Christmas morning.

Just curious, what are you guys getting your parents? It's always such a hard decision, between hand-made crafts and trinkets and pictures frames and books and gag gifts and letters....

I got them some chocolates from the Godiva store in Chicago when I went after Thanksgiving. I think they ate them already. Maybe I’ll make them a card.

I got my mom a pair of cute earmuffs from this Tibetan store, a book, and a pink jade necklace. I got my dad a light-up Rubik’s cube (even though we have like a thousand cubes already) and a new iPhone case that coordinates much better than his old one.

my little sister adores hello kitty, so I got her a big hello kitty-esque bow, hello kitty lipgloss, hello kitty wallet, and a gag gift (hand sanitizer). my little brother likes origami so i bought him nice origami paper (the japanese patterned kind) and a few stickers so he can decorate them :)

^ that’s hilarious! I kinda wish i could do that lol

Well, I usually get my mother like clothing or relaxing stuff (a foot messager, ect) and my father like cologne lol. Idk yet, but I’ll probably just end up doing that again :D
