What are YOU going to be doing the night of March 9th?

I love Enders Game it is among my favourite books!!! Enders Shadowwas great too, I liked Bean so it was great to get inside his head. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the sequels, while I read them they were a bit to political and drawn out for me.

On Man Vs. Beast Its the 6th book in series I loved when I was about 11 or 12. The first 6 are published in the US but the rest aren’t. They’re kind of like Alex Rider but IMO better. There’s a lot of British refrences in my copes.
"Mainstream animal protection groups have always stayed within the law, but a new band of radical liberationists argues that if humans and animals are equal, then it’s right to kill or threaten one human in order to save the lives of many animals. In a new mission, James and the other CHERUB agents must go up against the most radical group yet in a daring and violent attempt to save hundreds of lives…including their own.

I wasn’t going to read Ender’s Shadow but my son told me it was better than Ender’s Game (thematically) and I think he was right. It was really interesting to read essentially the same story from a different perspective.

re the sequels. We have them. Son has read them. He hasn’t talked about them much so I assume he feels the same.

One of my favourite books (again I’m unsure if you can get them in the US):
[Tomorrow series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Tomorrow series - Wikipedia)

In [url=Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox - Wikipedia]Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia/url, there’s a group of people who hate animals so much that they’re vegetarians. I love Artemis Fowl so much XDDD

I’ll have to check out that series, it looks interesting!

artemis fowl is good.

My science teacher is a huge fan of Enders Game and we often talk about it. It was great to see it from another perspective. That’s why I love fanfiction because you can read stuff from other perspectives , much of it is crap but there are gems among it. I’ve read Artemis Fowl years ago. I seem to recall I enjoyed it but was never obsessed.

I was certain I was going to marry him up until I was 12. I still want to - fictional guys are so much better than real guys!

fictional guys are so much better than real, living guys! i totally agree

All my crushes have always been fictional guys except for this one actor who played one of my favourite fictional guys in the TV adaption. What a bunch of nerds we are! ;)

lol : ) but fictional guys are better than real cuz ficitional guys are almost perfect! lol

Were you guys talking about Hunger Games without me. I think I will start reading Catching Fire even though I am reading another book…oh well I usually do that…

Catching Fire was amazing. But seriously guys, if you liked the Hunger Games you’ll love Battle Royale. It’s awesome!

I wonder what I would do if I placed in such a situation.

Ender’s game was my summer reading book last year!! It was good except for the fact that 6 year olds were killing people. I LOVE ANIMAL FARM!!! I have 1984 but I havn’t gotten around to reading it. Have any of you read Hunger or Gone? Their part of a new series called Gone. Its like Steven King meets Lord of the Flies. At first I thought is was badly written but then I got used to it and couldn’t put it down. Just don’t read it right before you go to bed or after the sun goes down, its SUPER scary.
My dad just got me this book “the works of Plato” or something, that includes the Republic and the Ion. I have no idea why he got it, but it is appealing.

Hoping: I <3 ANIMAL FARM TOO!!! I tried to read 1984, but it just wasn’t for me. It was like reading Lord of the Flies aka- ECK

Really-I Loved 1984. I’ve read it several times. Don’t know what that says about me?

and Lord of the Flies, my interviewer and I talked about it actually.

Lord of the Flies- why do they get naked immediately? Like really?

hahaha
:p

Boys will be boys?
