Son, if you doubt me, I can send you my emails/acceptance letters. But that would be pointless, and an utter waste of my time - and yours - so why don’t you take my word for it.

As to what Alexandre said, it’s easy to turn down schools for Michigan. The ivy league schools come nowhere close to Michigan when it comes down to sports. Duke and Stanford would be the only one that match Michigan. I chose Michigan, and that is where I will attend.

Congratulations to you! To clear up some inaccuracies in this post-I’m pretty sure Cornell is just as good in Hockey and much better in Lacrosse though if we’re talking about the 5 big spectator sports. Vanderbilt and Rice are also much better in baseball and UT-Austin is equivalent in football but much better in baseball and better in basketball.

“I’m pretty sure Cornell is just as good in Hockey and much better in Lacrosse though if we’re talking about the 5 big spectator sports.”

NCAA Hockey National Championships:
Michigan 9 (2 since 1995)
Cornell 2 (none since 1970)

Frozen Four appearaces:
Michigan 24
Cornell 8

Cornell does not equal Michigan in Hockey.

I am sure Cornell is better in Lacrosse. Lacrosse is not considered a major sport in the Midwest. As far as Michigan is concerned, there are only four major sports (Football, Baskebtall, Hockey and Baseball in that order).

To suggest that Cornell (I am an alum and love this school), Rice or Vanderbilt are anywhere near Michigan in terms of college athletics is stretching it big time!

I only applied to one school (while at hfcc) and god damn am I happy I got in (almost had to apply to MSU )… I haven’t had much time to socialize, but I’ve recently found some cool people, so I’m pretty sure my next 3 years here are going to be boss.

Freshman years are never particularly excellent for me I guess lol… takes me some time to warm up.

Ummmm… maybe worth including that other “public ivy” with the most Div. I national championships across all men’s and women’s sports…
