What are you guy's methods for the reading, but mainly Science section, for a 33+?

So my best scores from the February and April test are as follows:
E 35
M 34
R 33
S 31
C 33
Essay 11
Can anyone here that has raised or has consistently scored a 33/34 or above on the science section tell me exactly their strategy? preferably someone who has went up in their score after changing their method. like the read first then questions? or? thank you. need that thing raised for my third and final test! debate on!

I’m only a seventh grader, but an especially good tip I used was not reading the paragraphs. It saves a ton of time, allowing you to spend more time analyzing the charts and the graphs. I’m sorry if you were looking for someone’s opinion who had a bit more experience!

I don’t have any trouble with the time constraints on the science section, so I’m able to read everything, including the paragraphs. For me, the most important thing was just focusing on thinking logically and step by step. That is, when they give you something like “plant a grows w cm under x conditions and plant b grows y cm under z conditions” I’m already asking myself questions like “What do these results infer?” and “Which conditions are more conducive to growth?” before I even get to the questions on the test. It helps me to remember the material better so I don’t have to go back and look for it and it often gives me the first few answers before I even see the questions. This was the strategy I used on the April 13th exam and I got a 36 on the science section. I’ve only taken it once, however, and most of my friends just aren’t able to think in this way even when I try to explain it to them, so it definitely won’t work for everyone.

I’m a really fast reader and i usually read a passage in under 30 seconds so I goto the questions first, then i find out what i need to answer, then i actually read the passage while taking note of some of the answers, then i answer the questions. Each passage took me like 3-5 minutes depending on what type of questions they are. (This was just a practice test though). But i still got a 30 on this section -___-
