What are you tired of?

Going into town 12 times a year for supplies? Ugh. Change that to once per month grocery delivery and you have perfectly described heaven. I’ll be in the next lighthouse over and will blink my light in your general direction once in a while to say Hi! :slightly_smiling_face:

Oddly I knew you would say that.

I was tired of making dinner night after night when I was 22.

I just took a sip of water and just spit it out. Lol.

We did it long time ago . When kids were still small. My simpathy to all cooking upset people. I was soo grateful when TJ came into town since it has relatively healthy ingredients… First thing we taught kids is to read ingredients. I remember my oldest DD in Costco with me at age about 10. She tried something. Was screaming: “Can we have it?”. Then run to the fridge, open it, looked at ingredients, and said "Or no… " and silently put it back. The rule was if too many ingredient, we do not buy it. Too many was 5-6…
Unfortunately with inflation now all $3 items in TJ became $5, so we are trying to avoid it now.(TJ was our one place shop during pandemic.) But still come here and there to pick our favorite things. My oldest can’t live without TJ chicken buritos (I am not fan of that one…) I think my oldest will chose location for living after graduation based on TJ location

Are you responding to @conmama?

Actually several posts made me to write this comment.

There are always to go boxes.
I used to hate big portions too. However, when you go to Europe, eat at a reaustarant and leave hungry but with empty pocket…That is a different level of hate

Long lines. Wherever I go, there are lines. So many people wanting the same thing.

The “Long lines” reply listed above made me quickly note that I abhor people who stand so closely behind me in line!!!

I hate it!!!

Why can’t people take a step backward…:or two or three. :woman_facepalming:t3:

Convenience Fee’s. Um convenient from WHOM. If I don’t have the choice to walk to a booth and buy a hard copy ticket and my ONLY choice is to do it online…then it isn’t a convenience fee it is a "extra charge because we can…neener, neener, neener’.

Loading and unloading dishwasher…Why I was so stupid years ago when we did remodeling when kids were small and thought about two sinks but not about two dishwashers?

People.

That would have summed up my first response better.

I am sick of being sick. Long covid since 5/23 and nasal polyps before that? Enough already!

I guess I’m tired of being an adult! Taxes, investments, planning for this, planning for that… life as a kid was so much less stressful. Those kids who want to grow up faster have no idea what they are up for.

I’m tired of going to High Holiday services. Husband is very diligent and always wants to get to more of the services than I do. Neither of us are truly religious, or even spiritual for that matter. But it’s what we’ve always done.

I’m tired of having to find seats in crowded sanctuaries and all the people around who don’t shut up and my husband giving them nasty looks. And I’m tired of having to stand up and sit down and stand up and sit down…my feet and ankles are not what they used to be.

I am much happier just doing zoomed/streamed services where I can wear slippers and sit as much as I want and hit the restroom whenever I choose without disturbing anyone. But I feel guilty not going in person - my father was a rabbi, after all.

I LOVE THIS THREAD!

I’m tired of being tired.

I also hate this era of no “integrity”. People don’t seem to care that they BS their work habits and wont take responsibility for anything.

I had always been on teams who had heart and real ethics in how they performed their work.
They came in when needed and worked their tails off to help patients and their families. I rarely see that now. I hear from previous students and patients who lament that I’ve retired. It shouldn’t be that way.

I’m tired of being the Shell Answer (Wo)man for EVERYONE. My kids. My mom. My husband. My dogs. Why does everyone think I have all the answers? Who answers MY questions?

Oh and also I’m tired of people ignoring my answers to their questions, if it’s not exactly what they want to hear.

Also I’m tired of people in general.

And hypocrisy. Especially hypocrisy.
