What are you tired of?

A total stranger once said to me “Smile! It can’t be that bad!” It was the same week my boyfriend of 7 years was killed in a car accident. I should have responded so that he would learn you never know what a person’s story is, but I just kept walking instead. I would respond differently today.

I had a similar run in right after my son died and I burst into full out sobs. Hopefully that was a learning opportunity for that person.

If you get a chance record your dad telling the stories. I’m so glad I did.

That’s such a great thought. I wish I had…

It’s also just another way that people think they are entitled to comment on women’s bodies.

I’m tired of food…planning it, fetching it, putting it away, cooking and eating it. Luckily hubby shares cooking duty.
Tired to near death of politics.
Tired of worrying.

This was interesting to read. I don’t think I am tired of much.

I would say the toxicity of US politics and especially the willingness of some politicians to just make up stuff/repeatedly lie. I’m tired that we as a country and a world can’t deal with some clear problems (like kids dying in school from guns).

I do find myself more annoyed at tasks that have a menial aspect than I would have been years ago.

I am tired of realizing that my body doesn’t function like it did when I was 20/30/40/50.

… and trying to legislate them out of existence (e.g. saying that someone is gay, transgender, etc., or anything that they think is “critical race theory”).

The stench of marijuana in so many places. Just returned from the mall and people just reeked of it.

Taking care of a house. It’s always something from leaks to cracks to cleaning to upgrades that need doing.

10,000% YES!

Pot smell when you are driving (people driving and smoking!), in the front yard, the backyard, on the trails, everywhere you go in public :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Almost makes me miss cigarette smell… :smoking:

This is the ultimate answer (weed smell). We deal with it by yelling out “weed!” if it comes from a passing car, or giving each other the look if it’s someone in a building. My daughter hates it too.

I am tired of not being able to reach a human when I need customer service or having to wait over an hour before I could reach someone.

I’ll piggy back this one…and having to listen to horrible canned music while you wait. And often getting disconnected. Or getting an off shore person who you can’t understand at all…and who only can read from a script which doesn’t answer your question.

Saw this and immediately thought of this thread.

I am tired of not being able to eat what I would really like due to wanting to control my weight both for health and for looks.

Tired of not being able to sleep more than 6 hours a night and thus being tired.

Tired of being the social secretary for DH and me. But if I didn’t do it, we would rarely do anything fun.

My spouse. He’s not willing to deal with his issues, and I’m tired of twisting myself into a pretzel to compensate.

Medical stuff. It’s one %$#@ thing after another, and nothing ever goes away or gets resolved. The orthopedic stuff is the hardest; losing mobility and independence is far more limiting than my other issues.

Tired of dealing with medical billing offices and insurance. Do your jobs! At appointments, you conduct a wallet biopsy before you even ask my name – yet you claim you don’t have my insurance info and I have to jump through hoops to get the info to you (AGAIN). GO AWAY.

I am tired of reading the same thing over and over and over. And.Over. Most of the time it’s irrelevant to the conversation. Wish some would be less self focused and tone deaf. Wish they would read the room.
