Go to a Justin Bieber concert. You won’t have that problem.
High heels. Reality television. Airline travel - worst that I can remember and I’ve been flying regularly for 30+ years. Politics. I’ll add another vote for tipping for basic counter service - when did this become a thing (they make a regular wage unlike wait staff)?
And all the fees for ANY tickets. I don’t even bother looking at what tickets will cost anymore because there’s going to be about $70 in fees added on that I refuse to pay.
Ok, here is mine…
I am tired of stupid people. Just do some critical thinking’s, does it make sense to you?
People who tell the same story over and over again.
Especially when it’s my DH with company! They’ve heard his stories already and I’m never sure how to handle it.
LOL. I don’t know anybody these days who have new stories. Which is okay because I’ve forgotten most of them from the first 10 times around.
LOL - My Dad (age 96) often repeats recent stories since he talks to so many people on the phone. No problem - love hearing him meander. Once in while he will say, “I know you’ve heard this old story…. but it’s a good one, worth repeating”. Fine by me - he has trouble hearing me on the phone, works best to let him do all the talking.
I’m tired of all of the boomers in our extended family acting like toddlers and spoiled brats right now. My kids have better manners than they do.
I’m also sick of boomers that think the world hasn’t changed since they were in school, raised kids, interviewed for jobs, and that basically kids “nowdays” can’t do anything right.
I’m tired of pop-up ads that sometimes cover a quarter of the page and reappear right after I kill one. Blockers haven’t worked well, and when I try to tighten down too much I cannot log into the forum. Facebook’s suggestions for videos, groups and friends are almost as annoying.
Too hot weather
People who need a calculator to do basic math
Night Owls not being understood or respected
Loud expensive restaurants
Being asked if I walked hundreds of miles today. LOL
Bad/lazy driving in general - but more specifically:
People who don’t know how to use a blinker
Slow drivers in the left (passing) lane
People who don’t know how to merge onto an expressway
People with supersize SUV’s who can’t park them within the lines
People (mostly the teen drivers) who speed through neighborhoods in their brand-new Broncos and Jeeps.
And people turning left at a light who leave a huge gap between them and the car in front of them, meaning someone behind them can’t turn when the light turns red.
I sort of saw this thread as about things that we just don’t want to bother with anymore (grown away from, not interested in, etc). Not so much everything in the world we want to complain about (obviously no one was ever interested in bad drivers).
Not that there is anything wrong with a complaint thread, but I saw this as a subtle, more nuanced idea.
(Just one person’s observation. I understand threads wander).
Thanks for the shout-out. I think I am allowed to be tired of bad drivers
Not sure how what I said is different from anything else in this thread (unless you are the type of driver I referenced and are triggered). But, I can use your language and say I am no longer interested in bad drivers. There
For threads that wander, I would draw your attention any of umpteen threads on here that descend into the elite vs. non-elite college debate.
Yes, my husband and his brothers repeating stories from when they were in college! ( not the elderly)
I’m tired of people telling other people how to feel. As a kid I’d feel guilty when my mom would call me out for not being happy enough or sad enough or sorry enough - as if she had any clue as to how I was feeling on the inside. As an adult I see this all the time and it drives me crazy. People show their emotions in vastly different ways - respect it or just close your mouth.
