Colored jeans are supposed to be allowed, but I’m not sure if black is a part of that. I guess I’ll find out. Good luck on the revisit days, guys!
Hopefully you find your dream school :)

Question- it’s going to be slightly cold this time of year. Appropriate to wear uggs?

When I visited Groton people were wearing Uggs and Bean Boots, so I think it’s okay. I would look to see if there are any pictures of students on the schools’ website and see what they’re wearing in those.

Thanks! hopefully I’ll be fine.
good thing I’ve already been accepted haha

I’m also going to be wearing boots (though not uggs)

So I’m going to wear red jeans, grey sweater, and grey sweater uggs. I hope it’ll be appropriate…

Sounds great! Especially with the snow in New England area, uggs are a good choice :)

I’m revisiting Choate in April. On an online question and answer thing, they made it clear jeans were not allowed. Should I follow this then? I don’t have much decent clothing besides jeans…

If they specifically say to not wear jeans, it definitely gives a bad impression to wear them anyway. I’m sure you can scrounge something up. :)

If it’s been made clear, then you definitely shouldn’t wear jeans. if I was you, I would wear a skirt. dress pants are really ugly (my opinion) and you want to make a good first impression.

Oh, for St Marks, it also said jeans aren’t allowed on the q and a thing, but a student there emailed me saying that everyone wears colored jeans… so it might not be true on the choate website as well.

What are you guys bringing to the revisit days? It said classes so I was wondering if I should bring a notebook, pencils etc.

@peddiecures- No. You’re there to observe and enjoy the day.

Im probably just going to bring a small bag with my phone and other tiny things… if they really make you do work, they’d supply the pencils and paper anyway, so don’t worry.

Where would be a good place to get nice looking skirts/other dress code clothes?

I found some nice dresses at low prices from jcpenny’s. I’m also looking at Jack Wills and places like that(outlets). Forever 21 and H&M are also good places to look.

Try: H&M, J Crew, Polo, Joe Fresh (JCPenny), GAP to start

Off topic, but I had no idea there were Jack Wills in the US. It’s slogan is Fabolously British…

They only have a few stores in the US so unless I go to Boston or Philly I usually order online

There is also one in Newport, RI!
