asifkhan: I calculated the average SAT from online admissions statistics. unfortuantely, there are stats for each school, so there are people repeated. since I don't have programmatic access to the data, it would take too long to remove the duplicates. But, my school limits the amount of schools students can apply to to 7 and the overwhelming majority apply to 7 schools, so the repetition shouldn't affect the average very much.

It's the second highest sat avg for a public school after TJHSST. I wonder if that would change if stuy took the top 400 scorers on the entrance test instead of the top 800. That would be pretty pointless though....

well, I can see that I mistakenly thought 1200 is a big deal in terms of average, I'd rather stick w/ 1500 right now! Guess, that's not gonna be a usual average among the top schools!

I know at this one private school in my town that their old SAT average was like 1530+....elite go there, obviously.

Also, a lot of averages on here seem high, but how many students are in a graduating class. I think you need to add that because it is really skewed if not.

alrite, fine y'all (lol! :) :) :) NOw, let me see, which school has STRAIGHT 1600 AVERAGE?!!!!?!??! ANybody?   By average here I mean EACH and EVERY STudent / close to that made 1600 i.e. perfect score on old sat scale. So, now what? (I'm sure even now that someone will come up w/ a school (I mean that might be a fact, I don't deny that) where there are some only 40 SMART students who usually make perfect and near perfect scores although school does not count it as perfect average. :D

My school averages 510 in writing, 520 in math, and 490 in CR, but thats just from the kids that take it. Less than half of my class of 350 takes it, and those are just the college bound kids. If we all were to take it, I’m sure the average would be much lower.

My 750 writing, 700M, 650CR is one of the highest in my class. Most kids here don’t go to any college.

How do you guys know about your school’s average SAT’s? If I had to guess, I’d say we’re in the low 1400’s out of 2400, and my score is almost a full thousand points ahead.
