I'll be in Berkeley a few weeks, any suggestions on what to do that sometimes we can't do since we are too busy during the semester?

well, you can take some summer classes. that is what i am doing. but i don’t live in the east bay, i commute from sausalito. not sure where you are from but you might want to do some sailing on the san francisco bay—if you like the water. even taking the ferry is nice. and spending time in san francisco is also my preference. so i don’t know what to do in the east bay.

1) You have access to San Francisco, one of the most beautiful and vibrant great cities of the world a short Bart ride away.

2) Golden Gate National Recreation Area across the Golden Gate Bridge. Also, Sausalito while you’re in the neighborhood.

3) Muir Woods National Momunent for beautiful redwoods.

4) Complementary wine tasting in Napa and Sonoma - be careful not to get drunk.

5) Lake Tahoe.

6) Camping in Sequoia National Park. Much less congested than Yosemite and just as beautiful.

7) Yosemite National Park.

8) 17-Mile Drive in Carmel.
