I love to do research at the end,
My favorite subjects are physics,Biology(specially neurobiology,& Immunology),chemistry(have no problems)
In fact i dnt have any problem with all sciences (including maths)
But im trying to figure out the best major that fascinate me , and can lead me to research ( i want to get phD )
Thinking of biomedical engineering and biotechnology
Any thoughts would be appreciated very much
Its me having bad time

i think microbiology would be a good choice for you, as well as biomedical and biotech. but overall i cant answer this question, in fact only you can answer it lol.

that said, would an MD/DO be something you would be interested in? or even pharmacology if you like immunology.

I know i only can answer, though im collecting thoughts and suggestions
No i don’t want to be a Doctor, and in medical school its a long road to reach research
Pharmacology, mmm yes i think its nice
Biotechnology allows me to specialise in pharmacology right?

@yahya123 honestly im not sure about that, a quick Google search turned up no results that says you can. But I may have overlooked it.

I saw a program (Cambridge’s) that i think relates the biotech and pharmacology
But don’t know if other Uni also
@Ultimablade thanks

You may be interested in an MD/PhD program. It gives you a medical school education while also pursuing independent medical research. Since the science PhD market is not faring too well, it would be a good “guaranteed” career oppurtunity

Im interested in the medical school education, and btw im the Ranked first in my high School (in Lebanon) so i dont have any problem getting into medical school
But im a bit hesitant, since i love to be a researcher more than a doctor. So im searching a shorter way (since it takes a lot if i go the MD/phD track).
Any thoughts would be great
Btw, can i know how the Research work differs from (MD/pHD) to A normal researcher(like biologists or so)??
Thanks
