(This is for AP tests and subject tests too, not just SAT) I was wondering which book is the best to help me prepare for these exams. I went to Borders and noticed many different ones, Collegeboard, Kaplan, Barrons, Sparknotes, etc.

Collegeboard, for the SAT.

Depends on the exam.

My daughter likes the Princeton Review books best.

I generally like the PR books best too.

I like PR books very much. PR shows you the rules of the exam with useful advice in a humorous tone. OG is also quite useful, but it doesn't have any explanations on the questions.

I liked PR too.

I would get two books: Barron's and the College Board's official book. Use Barron's for studying for the SAT, then take the practice tests in the College Board book. Don't use Barron's practice tests because they are much harder than the actual SAT and way off.
