I have "The Real ACT Prep Guide" - 2nd edition and the Barrons ACT 36 . What other books should I get? Also is the 3rd edition of the Real ACT Guide out and does it have different tests?

I just don't think the 3 tests in the Real ACT Guide is enough as I've done 2 and I still need to improve Science.

Definitely check out the Princeton Review’s ‘Cracking the ACT’ book. It’s fantastic. It was all I used and I did extremely well on the test, thanks to some tips in that book. It also has two (?) more practice tests, so that will help you out.

I’m particularly interested in what other people say about the 3rd edition compared to the 2nd edition of the real one, but I will add the PR “Cracking ACT” to the shopping cart.

The 3rd edition has 2 new tests(plus the same 3 other tests) out sept. 6th. I also agree that the PR’s Cracking the ACT is an valuable tool for the ACT. It has 2 tests plus an online tests(so 3 tests total)

Sorry to bump again but in summary I should get the PR Cracking the ACT as I’ve extinguished the Real ACT Guide? I’m finding Barrons 36 very difficult (I scored a 34 without prep when I first took the test and I’m taking again in September yet struggled with the Reading and English - often I’d score in low 30s and even occasionally in the high 20s with them. I’m too afraid to even touch Science which I find difficult with the Real ACT alone), so I was wondering if people knew if the ACT had any online tests or question of the day gimmicks the way the SAT does?

Also if people have books that work specifically with Science that’d be great. I get between 35-36 on the Reading and English and a 34-36 for Math (silly mistakes prevent me from always getting 36s on these 3), but I can get anywhere from a 26 to a 34 on the Science. If anyone could suggest something for that, I’d really appreciate it.

EDIT: What are the Barrons Flashcards for? I don’t need help with vocab or any of that, but if its for math or science I might look into it…
