What Books Should I Get?

Hey, what books would you guys recommend that I get to help me with the admission's process? I was planning on getting On Writing the College Application Essay by Harry Bauld (I heard it was really good). I also remember someone on CC recommending a book by a former Dartmouth adcom, but I can't remember it's name. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

The D adcom is Michelle Hernandez. I’ve not read her book, but have a hard time recommending it given the broader scheme of her college admissions operation.

I like Admission Matters by Sally Springer, there’s a new edition out. It’s an up to date, realistic and reasonable approach IMO.

Alright, thanks for the suggestion! Also, what do you mean by the broader scheme of her college admissions operation?

Google her and you’ll see. For example, a 4-day Application Boot Camp for 14k (lodging not included)

Lol, this goes a little beyond a helpful book.

Don’t by “A is for Admissions” by Michelle Hernandez, the Dartmouth woman. That book sucks. Good for almost nothing.
