What calculator?

hey guys, i recently lost my calculator...some jackass at school stole it. but anyway, i had an 83+...should i get the 89 or get another 83+? Which would be more beneficial for cornell?

thanks

i hear that math classes (in arts and sciences at least) don't allow the use of calculators

I am perfectly happy with my 83, but if you're gonna get a new one, dish out the extra cash and get an 89Ti. Some of the classes won't let you use one, but I'm sure you'll need it for some stuff.

yeah just get the best it might be useful Texas Instruments TI-89 Ti

At the very least, you could use it to do those insanely hard problem sets.

I'll die before I replace my TI-83+. Calcy's seen me through some tough times.

don't waste your money on a ti, get the regular ti89 on ebay for $50 like i did. you're not going to need the extra memory unless you play a lot of games on it and everything else is basically the same. And the ti89 is sooo much better than a 83.

TI-84 plus silver addition does integrals really fast, so if you don't want to spend $150, I'd go with that.

The 89 got me through a lot of math classes and a lot of testing. It's a life saver. Even if Cornell doesn't allow calculators, you can still use it to check h/w, etc.

thanks guys, i think i'm gonna go with the TI-89 because the 83+ is getting rather old now and frankly...i think the 89 Tit is pretty ugly lol.
