Is there any good CSU schools that offer film/tv production. I Don't want the studies of film, but to actually operate on cameras and computers. I Know Northridge and Long Beach are two of them, but is there anymore?

Most CSUs require entry to film major in your Jr year. So you will get accepted to pre film but have to go through another process for full as acceptance to the major in your sophomore year. You take general requirements your first 2 years.

San Diego State has well regarded program also. Fullerton has a good television, broadcast program.

I would rate Northridge highest because they have new facilities and good connections for internships. But Northridge is a commuter school and does not offer a good residence life experience, if that is important to you.

San Diego State has the best residential dorm experience and campus life and decent facilities. They are well regarded for their Women in Film program. But it’s the hardest CSU to get into, especially if you are outside of their geographical area.

Fullerton has beautiful new freshman dorms because they are trying hard to promote living on campus. Did not view their production facilities.

There is a new program starting at the Monterey campus but we did not research it.

My highest recommendation goes to Chapman, but my D did not get in. She got into every CSU film program.

I would also recommend looking at Montana State which has Western Regional tuition exchange, great program and could be affordable if you get their merit aid. I believe an ACT 28 is required to qualify for tuition exchange.
