what can an econ major do?

<p>so i guess it really is time taht i seriously think about what i wanna do.</p>

<p>and im thinking about majoring in econ, possibly doubling up with finance.</p>

<p>what can i do wtih this major? and what if i minor in french?</p>

<p>I'm doing political economy, only because I don't really know what I want to do with my life and it leaves the most doors open (government, business, MBA, grad school, law-after philosophy, econ majors have the highest LSAT scores). Plus its interesting.</p>

<p>Anything you want? You don't have to have a career that is directly related to your college major. There are government majors working for investment banks, you know.</p>

<p>From being an entrepreneur, to a teacher, or even a stock broker, there is a lot of things you can do with an economics degree. In fact Economics seems to be one of the most popular majors for pre-mba students. I also know of a lot econ students now going into law school. There's plenty you can do out there.</p>
