Are you applying as a math or science major? If not, then you should be okay because someone I know who got a D in his math class still got in because he's a social science major. But if you are a math or science major, then you should retake it in the summer at a community college because it works out better that way.

Choose business econ because communications major are for a bunch of dumb sorority girls who can't figure out anything else to do with their life. But anyway, take the math course again at a community college because in that way you also get college credit for the course.

I think you should retake the D as soon as possible because UCs only use sophomore year and junior year GPAs to calculate the UC GPA, so if you retake the class first semester of senior year, the D will not be replaced on your transcript, which will lower your overall UC GPA A LOT.

I got a D in Pre-Calculus first semester of junior year and totally freaked out, but my school offered Pre-Calculus 1 again in the Spring, so I took the class again in my second semester of junior year.

Well the only UC I'm applying to is UCSB....and even if I retake it my UC gpa still won't be at their average. So I don't think I'm going to, bc I would have to take it over summer, and I don't want to.

3.55UC with the D.....3.66UC without the D

Is it really worth it to have to go to summer school???

As for my other schools, I'm applying to UMiami, SDSU, ASU, and Indiana. So with my complete 9-11W gpa I'm confident in the rest of my schools...besides UMiami.
