<p>Hi guys,</p>
<p>I am a current sophomore that wants to get into UCLA for a major in Biology. I just wanted to know how to improve my chances into getting into the school itself.</p>
<p>Here are some stats :
-top 1% in my class
-Unweighted GPA = 4.0
-varying SAT between 2060 and 2150 (580 to 680 CR, 720 Math, 720 - 750 Writing, Essay's 10 or 11)
-2 honors: Pre-Calculus Honors, Chemistry Honors
-self study : AP Chem
-100 hours library volunteering, helping dyslexic children make sense of reading
-around 50 hours volunteering at a local farm
-swimming JV, decent, used to swim competitively
-I play the saxophone with my own jazz band, approx. 2 hours a week meetings, bi-annual concerts
-French Honor Society: 9th to 12th
-Speech and Debate: 9th to 12th, co-captain of LD next year
-DECA: 10th to 12th, VP competitions next year</p>
<p>Future Academics :
-Junior year, 3 AP's (Calc. BC, APUSH, AP Bio), 2 honors (Am. Lit Honors, French 4 Honors)
-Senior year, AP's (AP Stats, AP. Comp. Sci. A, AP Chem, AP Econ., AP French, AP English and Composition, Teachers Aide or possible dual sciences with AP Physics)
-AP tests all 4's and 5's
-Grade-wise all A's
-Bringing SAT to 2200+</p>
<p>Future EC's:
-another 100 hours of volunteering at the library
-another 50 hours of farm work
-internship at Kaiser Perm. under my doctor
-internship at Cisco Inc.
-swimming Varsity
-staying in all the clubs aforementioned
-continuing helping dyslexic children as well as a new contact into helping children with disabilities such as Down Syndrome see the bright side</p>
<p>How can I improve my chances of getting into UCLA? How did you guys prepare for the SAT? Practice, tricks and tips, courses for SAT prep? Also, if you could go ahead and chance me based on my current stance, disregarding the "Future" columns, for all the UC's.</p>
