So I really have no clue what I plan to study in college. I was thinking about trying to get an MBA. But what can you really do with one? It's probably a very general question, but I want to know more about the subject. Will an MBA raise salary significantly? Would it help an entrepreneur at all to have one?

If you are still in undergrad, focus on that. More than likely your interests will change with the directoin of the wind. That said, work hard and keep your options open. Optionality is always a good thing (this should answer your question more directly too)!

really depends on which industry you want to go into after mba. if you are still in high school, please come back a few years later.

What ever you want. It’s a general degree used to enhance your career. You should focus on undergrad first. An MBA is generally for advancement into management or entrepreneurship. You have to know a little about what you’re managing to be competitive. A lot of MBA’s have other advanced degrees and/or 3-10 years experience in their field.

You can also find programs for joint degrees like JD/MBA or MD/MBA. Again those are people interested in administration more than the functional areas of law or medicine. supposedly an MBA helps with entrepreneurial pursuits. I’m unsure of that. Entrepreneurs are born not made. I do believe it is useful to hone your business skills.

Find something you love to do. Study that get your under grad then practice your craft. If you decide you want another degree then revisit the MBA or get a masters in your field.
