What Classes Are You Taking?

What do you mean it won’t let you? What happens when you try to switch?

I went and did some stuff, it will let me switch everything except the Engin 101 to 151. It says department consent required. (This is what I tried to do first, and figured I couldn’t change anything).

Anyway, a couple of questions… When is the latest I can change my schedule in WolverineAccess? Could I do it first week of school when I can get department consent (or is there a way for me to get department consent right now so it’s all ready by the time I go)?

And, if I am signed up for a lecture, which conflicts with another one of my classes, can I just go to the same lecture at another time it’s open? I ask because they assigned a lecture to the lab, and each of the 3 sections of the lecture have labs offered at different times. I need the lab from 1 section and the lecture from another, but the instructer is the same. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn’t cause problems to have 2 classes scheduled at the same time (or to go to the wrong lecture).

I don’t know who would be in charge of 151 permissions, but if you send out some emails you can probably get an electronic override to be allowed into the class. If not, you have a long time to change your schedule, the drop/add deadline is not until several weeks into the term.

If you go into student business–>Student center and look at the box on the right that is headed Enrollment Dates, it should say something like: You may begin enrolling for the Fall 2009 Regular Academic Session session on June 16, 2009. If you click on details, it says the enrollment appointment is from June 16-September 28 (the first date is, of course, different depending on what orientation session you’re in). So September 28 is the last time you can change your schedule online.

If you want to change into 151, you just need to tell your professor that you have programming background and want to have a challenging class.

If an engineering class goes off your schedule, you have to wait until everyone else has picked their engineering class and then you would be able to pick out of the remaining classes.
