What Classes Are You Taking?

What's everyone taking 1st semester? I figured this would be a great way for us to meet people that are in our classes. I am taking:

English 125, section 006
HJCS 201, section 004
PolSci 111, section 001/005 for the lecture/discussion
Math 115, section 019

Anyone else in any of these classes?

I am in your polisci class

bump, anyone else?

I’ll let you know when get back from Orientation on the 16th

ENG 125
STATS 350
UC-102 (required)
ENVIRON 139 ( FYS )
ENSCEN 171

Also, you can also look at my schedule through this:
[Mschedule.com - View Schedule](http://www.mschedule.com/view.php?uniqname=jsmagat)

My schedule as an engineering freshman:

ENGIN 100-300 (Audio Signaling whatever it was called … it wasn’t Space Engineering -700/900 as I wanted :()
PHYSICS 140 (<– Dependent on AP score)
MATH 285

13 total credits + UROP (up to 4 additional credits)

did u guys schedule your classes after ur orientation? or…?

Ren, we registered for classes on the morning of the last day of orientation.

^Yup. They give you a couple of hours on the evening of Day 2 to pick classes and decide what your schedule will be like. Then on morning of Day 3 you get approval from your advisor and they give you another couple of hours to fine tune your schedule.

You’ll be fine. Just know that you will need to sign up for classes as quickly as you can, because slots do fill up fast, unless you’re taking an upper-level class like Math 256/285. Also understand that once you leave orientation, you cannot change your schedule until you come back in the fall.

I don’t know if that’s right. I don’t know if it’s different for incoming freshmen, but normally as an undergrad all you do is go online and sign up, there’s no advising appointment. I think you might be able to just go onto Wolverine Access and add/drop classes as you choose any time after your registration date. Don’t hold me to that, b/c for some reason it might be different for incoming freshmen.

Giants92 is right. You can change your schedule at any time after orientation. My advisor said that several times.

oh okay, thanks.

WHAAAT!?!? My adviser said that I would lose my engineering section!!!

^It won’t let me change either… Wait till the school year starts and change in the first week.

You’ll learn quickly that you can safely ignore the advisors 99% of the time.

Okay, yeah see she said about twenty times to use the swap feature and that it could be done all summer. Sorry.

^I tried that and it still wouldn’t let me…

that’s weird. I can add n drop classes @ my own convenience. I had an overlap problem w/ the Stats 350 n UC course during the orientation, then i got home, n i was able to reschedule everything.

Not cool :(
