I know as a freshman it was hard for me to figure out what classes was really good for me and now that I'm a sophmore I've took a lot of classes. I wanted to know what classes are you guys taking and if you have any questions about workload, ANGEL, class size, professors, TA's, or anything of that sorts.

ECON 002
ENG 15
MATH 110
ASTRO
SPAN 002

Any suggestions on what prof's to take for any of these classes? Or your opinion of these classes as far as work load and level of difficulty go?

Thanks

MATH 140 - Parsons
ENGL 15 -
AERSP 001S - Spencer
ECON 002 - Mcleod
KINES 84 -

I'm thinking about taking out KINES, so I'll be at 15 credits. I'm not really sure if 16.5 credits will be manageable for me with a part-time job. By the way, KINES 84 is "Fitness for Life." Does anyone know what we actually do in that class? Is it boring lectures or more along the lines of exercising?

OriolesManiac, what ASTRO are you in? My D is in ASTRO 001 Section 002.

She is also taking SPAN 002, THEA 100, ENGL 030, PSU 009 (1st year seminar) and a web course, COMM 160.

Oriolesmaniac, take ASTRO sec 1 with Mercedes Richards, I'm going to take that class in the fall as well. I heard she is amazing and the class is a lot of fun. Also Oriolesmaniac, your courseload seems ok right now, but I think for the drop/add period look at the syallbus for all of the classes and make sure that your that you don't have too many exams on the same day. For ECON 002 everyone take either Mcleod or Dirk Mateer, my friends took Dirk Mateer and he gave out so much extra credit that some of my friends grades went up at least a letter grade b/c of all of the extra credit.
lil killer, my best friend took Fitness For life and she enjoyed the class, she said the class has a log book in which you record the workout routines you do during the week. She actually got a lot out of the class and she got an A.
From what I hear from my friends THEA 100 is a pretty good class and the teacher is good.

One good thing about taking a gym class first semester is it is easier to meet people in that type of class than in a lecture.

Math 141- 4
Phys 212- 4
Econ 002- 3
Phil 001- 3
Math 220- 2

don waste your gym your first semester....youll want it later everyone's classes look fine except Tom's whos pretty heavy...but I suppose if you can handle it ;).

I am also taking econ 002, which section are you guys in?

Ok. I just took KINES 84 off my list. I'll stick with 15 credits my first semester to see how it goes.
