My pass 1 is tomorrow morning and I’m still not sure what I should sign up for. I wasn’t able to go to orientation so I don’t have a clue as to what I am doing. Anyways, I failed the AWPE so obviously I have to take WLD 057. I tested into the 21 series for math, but since I don’t feel confident in my trig I think I should go into the 16 series. I really want to learn Spanish, I went up to Spanish 4 in HS. My major is undeclared life sciences and I have no clue as to what I want to do but I probably will end up choosing some sort of science major. Thanks!

For science majors, the 17 or 21 series are usually required. There are a few exceptions, but since you’re undeclared you should consider at least the 17 series.

A good schedule would be something like WLD 57, Math 17a (or 21a), Spanish (whatever you test into), and maybe a freshman seminar or GE. If you can get Chem 2a, you might want to replace Spanish or English with that.

what about physics 2A I haven’t taken any sort of physics class in high school. I was reading for a Biological Science Degree that recommended taking Physics 2a, 3a, 4a in addition to the chem series.

There’s no such thing as Physics 2a at UCD. There’s PHY 1A, 7A, or 9A, but no PHY 2A, 3A, 4A.

Save Physics for later. It is not recommended for Freshmen in Fall.

I agree, wait on Physics. Especially since you don’t know what series you’ll need.

I ended up getting WLD 057, Chem 2A, 17A for math, and Earthquakes haha. I tried to sign up for spanish but it said I had too many credit hours so I’ll have to save it for later.
