What college are you OBSESSED with?

Tulane

:D

New Orleans is a great location, especially during hurricane season.

^^^^Was that an attempted joke...?

Yes.

And apparently it failed.

Stanford University
-It's stanford
-I love the campus
-I love the laid-back/duck syndrome
-Ive read articles and books my professors of my intended major and they are amazing
-It's Stanford
-???
-It's Stanford

No apparently it was a douch.ebag comment that is wholly inappropriate. Go slap yourself 10 times johnny.

"And I'm not applying ED because financial aid is a factor and Pomona doesn't give merit aid."

"I really seriously thought about applying ED, but decided against it for financial reasons."

Schools hate it when students don't apply ED because they're afraid the FA offer might not be enough and then feel trapped.

THERE IS NO DANGER IN APPLYING TO YOUR FAVORITE SCHOOL ED IF YOU NEED FA.

Please tell your friends.

It says right on the ED agreement:

"Should a student who applies for financial aid not be offered an award that makes attendance possible, the student may decline the offer of admission and be released from the Early Decision commitment."

A good reason not to apply ED is if you want to compare FA offers from various schools, but then you're probably not obsessed with one school!

Olin college

-designing a new type of education (I love innovation)
-amazing student body
-15 min from Boston (my favorite city)
-amazing campus

I was once obsessed with attending NYU, then GWU thenn Sarah Lawrence, then Wellesley. The funny part is, I applied to NONE of the above :). Oh how things change.

now, i'm not obsessed per say but i'd be quite content at any one of the following colleges:

Union College
Gettysburg College
URichmond
Lafayette College

NYU

because of it's traditional college campus, green lawns, butterfly gardens.

Boston University

It's in Pittsburgh, and i love my home city

They're connected with 4 different theatre companies

I can live in an house with 10 friends as soon as i start college.

NO GREEK LIFE(this is a must..i hate the greek life)

Plus, it's right by Carlow, Pitt,CMU, RMU, Duquesne, and Chatham. Tons of parties and fun to be had

NYU!

RICE
-- the perfect college campus

my life will be complete if I get into either of these...or even on the waitlist!

YALE.

-Least stressful school among HYP (although this is debatable)
-NEW HAVEN: midpoint between Boston and New York
-Beautiful campus
-Very good social life
-Students who would cooperate with you rather than compete against you
-Bulldogs = my favorite breed of dog (irrelevant, I know, but it's worth mentioning)

Yup, also Yale.
If money wasn't a factor, I'd matriculate right now.

Rice

-far away from home (new perspective)
-residential colleges (no greek life!)
-tuition (10,000 less than most other private schools)
-research opportunities (texas medical center!)
-lots of class/racial interaction ( i hate cliques)
-cute name (rice on a sweatshirt...aww)
-gorgeous campus
-merit scholarships (go to apparently the top 30% of applicants)
-nice weather
-passport to houston
-lots of students double major

there's a lot more reasons!

NYU!!!

-good business program
-in NYC
-a bunch of clubs, culture, city living

I'm sick of Boston, i want to go to the city, Boston is too small (i love the city but i don't want to stay here)
