Hello,
I have been accepted to:
UCI- Business Econ.
Cal Poly Pomona- Bus. Adm
Fullerton- Bus. Adm
UC Davis- Managerial Econ.
I know that I can pursue some type of finance/accounting in all of these. Out of the four schools, what would be my best choice?
Keep in mind that CSF and CPP have business schools, which means there is more depth and more accounting coverage than what UCI and UCD offer in their econ departments. If you want to be on the CPA track, you would need 5 years of college (150 semester units or 225 quarter units vs. the 4 year track of 120 semester units or 180 quarter units). Some students obtain the additional units by taking classes at CCC or extension courses. This 1 additional year can also be fulfilled by completing a 1 year Masters in Accounting or related program such as one offered at UCI or UCR or CSU’s or some private colleges like USC, etc.
