Hi everyone!

I'm worried about what colleges I am eligible to apply to. Here in California, to apply to any UC or CSU, all applicants must have had college preparatory classes in high school in core classes. My dilemma is that for one semester in my sophomore year, I took 3 courses online and it was not credited as college prep. I understand that this makes me ineligible to apply to UCs and CSUs, but do I at least have eligibility to apply to private colleges?
Thanks in advance!

Were those courses offered by a school in California, but are not listed at http://doorways.ucop.edu ?

Note that for math and foreign language, the lower levels can be validated by completion of higher level courses (e.g. if you complete trigonometry or calculus with a C or higher grade, the UC/CSU minimum math requirement is fulfilled; if you complete Spanish 3 with a C or higher grade, that counts as 3 years of language other than English).

Standardized test scores can also be used to fulfill some of the subject areas. So can college courses.

For private schools, you need to check their web sites for what they are looking for in terms of high school course work.
