What colleges are good matches for me/Where should I apply to?

(I accidentally deleted my original thread, so here’s a new one)

Profile:
Asian male (Chinese), Mid-Atlantic area, highly competitive suburban public school

Stats:
GPA: 4.00/4.90
Rank: Not sure as of now (rank hasn’t came out yet for us), but definitely top 5%
SAT: 1590, 800 Math, 790 CR/CW
SAT 2: 790 Math 2 (idk what I did wrong, but I don’t feel like retaking), 800 Bio M, 800 Chem
APs:
5 Calc AB
5 Stats
5 Physics C Mechanics
5 Chemistry
5 Biology
4 Psych
4 Macro
4 WH
4 US Gov

Recs:
Should be decent (at least 7/10), I have known both STEM and humanities teacher for 2 years and both taught me junior year

ECs:
Kinda generic…
Multi-season varsity athlete (3 years)
Mock Trial (officer), have had some regional-level success (2 years)
Blood center volunteering, have done over 100 hours (2 years)
DECA (qualified for nationals, 2 years)
NHS (officer), do about 30 community service hours per year
Likely starting a STEM-related internship in fall of senior year (prior to early apps)

I am interested in bioengineering (likely going to major in this), chemical engineering, and materials science. Location and size do not matter to me, but I dislike “fratty” and “party” environments.

So- What schools could make good matches for me? Thanks in advance.

What can your family afford to spend?

Money isn’t really an issue

Check out the University of Rochester
Vanderbilt ( not a match)

Why Vandy is not a match to her? I think she should be able to reach all first tier univ including HYPSM and all the ivies. of course there is never a sure thing. You need some state flagship safeties, such as UMCP, UVA, W&M, Rutgers, Pitts,or Penn State, depends on where you live.

You should apply where ever you want OP. Just make sure you have some safety’s and matches ( non top 30 schools) ok your list. What is you preference in a type of school. Do you like the Emory, Brown, Dartmouth type or Vandy, Cornell, USC type?

Northeastern University. University of Delaware (highly ranked Chem E program, good Biomedical Eng, too).
