Hey Guys,

Just wondering what colleges do I have a great chance in being accepted?

My Weighted GPA: 4.28
MY Unweighted GPA: 3.90
College Prep:4.3125

I am an all state champion tennis player as well.
NorCal Rank: 24

MY Choices:

Stanford

Harvard

Princeton

Cal Tech

UPenn

Duke

MIT

Brown

Colombia

Cornell

Yale

John Hopkins

UCLA

UCB

UCSD

UCD

SAT/ACT? Extracurriculars? What have you done over your summers?

You’re probably in at all the UC’s. We need more to judge your chances for the other schools.

O sorry i have only taken an SAT
SAT Score:2140

Extracurricular wise i have around 100 hours of service and im President of KEy CLub, CSF, and TReasurer of NHS

Number 1 to number 12 are high high high reaches. ( especially the first few) (lack of ECs)
UC’s: Davis and SD seem like sure things. LA, you have a real good shot. Berkley would be a little harder, but you have a good shot at it too.
Take Subject SAT. They help a lot.

Gl!

I still have a year left and my GPA is prob gonna drop alittle due to AP CALC B/C and AP Physics but what othe rthings would any of u guys recommend

Firstly, if possible, after junior year, go for a summer school course. If not, do an internship ( possibly both!)

Once those are done, take some initiatives, some volunteer work. Get a little more involved in school activities. Your ECs are bringing you down from your potential. And honestly, if you want schools like Harvard, Yale, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, please bring your SAT upto a 2300+ — even then your chances are quite low.

killforstern do u know if being recruited help my chances? If i talk to a couple of coaches would i increse my chances. Any feedback on recruiting?

If you become a recruited athlete your chances go way up.

With your SAT score, GPA and tennis I’d say you are sure for all of the UCs and I’d give you a good chance at Cornell or JHU. Yale, Harvard and Stanford are reaches for anyone but a good essay will top it off. Good luck though with your applications
