What colleges do not consider freshman year?

I had a terrible freshman year and I don't want that messing up my chances at a great school.

What colleges do not consider freshman year or even look at it when calculating GPA?

I heard the Univ. of Michigan doesn't and some people have said University of California campuses don't either.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Stanford, Princeton, Search Button...

I've heard that sometimes a low freshman GPA can actully work out better than a high freshman GPA if your grades skyrocket sophmore/junior/senior years. Going from a 3.9, 3.7, 3.5, 3.4 might actully come off worse than a
3.0, 3.3, 3.5, 3.7 because the upward trend says a lot.

Well I had a 2.7/2.4 freshman year and then a 3.6/4.0 Sophomore year.

GPA is out of 4.0.

Bump please..

Bump please..

Michigan recaculates your GPA with only soph and junior year grades from academic classes.

Stanford also does not care about freshman grades.

Other schools will note them, but if you have an upward trend (as I do), you're in much better shape than those kids who start out as #1 and end up with 3.0's their junior year because they can't handle it.

Universities of California do not.

Oh ok..Thanks a lot..What would be some good matches/reaches for me?

I had a 2.7/2.4 freshman year and then a 3.6/4.0 Sophomore year.

Thanks again.

Strykur,
Are you sure about uc's?

UCs do not look at GPA from Freshman year. I'd post the link, but I'm too lazy to find it.

Do the UC's even care about freshman year?

The UCs might care about whether you pass your freshman year classes.

Well I passed them, just not with stellar grades.

Also...Bump please..
