I guess students at Xeneise's school don't do too much studying! hehe!

Duke's students may be among the best, but they don't have the entire city rallying around the college. In fact a lot of natives in Durham hate Duke.

Purdue

W Lay. may be small but the entire area revolves around the school.

Syracuse is also a good one. No other school in the nation routinely breaks NCAA basketball attendance records filling up their home stadiums with 33,000+ screaming Orange fans!

Schools with a stupid ticket distribution system. What a waste of time and energy.
[/quote]

You're right, we should make all of the tickets lottery picked so randomly students get lucky and are able to go to the games, rather than make the system completely fair so that those who really want to get tickets simply get in line first in order to get them.

We certainly have to in order to keep up with the students who don't tent. It's still a university, after all. Work hard, play hard.

It's not hate so much as it is apathy. Duke is not in an affluent area, I'm sorry to say.

No, you can distribute them using other systems. Seniors could have priority, then juniors, etc. You could earn points through high gpa or public service. There are many better ways. Or you could finally build a new arena adequate for the school. Duke can afford it.

No...let us definitely not institute a system like that...a new arena I can vouch for though

University of Texas...Extreme school spirit its crazy

Rice, Rice, Rice!!!

LOL @ Berkeley. Half the people at the school couldn't tell you anything about the school's athletics.

Check out the Pac 10:
ASU, U of Oregon, UCLA, USC, U of Washington
Big 10:
Indiana, U of Iowa, U of Michigan, Penn State, U of Wisconsin
Big 12:
U of Kansas, U of Oklahoma, U of Texas/A &M
ACC:
U of Maryland, Clemson, UNC, Virginia Tech

Any SEC school...

The nod here must go to Nebraska. Why?

When they were taking it in the chin from USC on national TV their stadium was packed full of screaming fans in the fourth quarter. That's unprecedented dedication to see your team through a home blow-out.

LSU fans caused an earthquake during a football game.

Now the debate is over.

let me resurrect this thread and say…NOTRE DAME.

i’ve met/heard about many people who are notre dame alumni, and all of them rave about it.

i know of people in their 50’s and 60’s who still have the alma mater memorized

15,000 for a college hockey game? ha! In Minnesota we fill up 18,000 for high school games:

So…question for those of you defending K-ville…how does it feel to have camped out for two months out of the year for four years straight, only to be beaten by a certain team led by Roy Williams and Tyler Hansbrough each year?

Zing! Truth hurts, Dookies.

Rivalries: UGA, Georgia Tech, U of Alabama, and Auburn are the buzz around here. Throw in some Florida fans and occasionally Tennessee and you’ve covered pretty much everyone.
Speaking of which, fall is coming up and these people are about to start throwing down, haha

You guys obviously missed one of the schools with the most spirit : Syracuse. You know, the school thats had back to back national lacrosse titles?
For a taste of SU spirit I give you a link to a video of fans storming the court after beating Georgetown (basketball)

You know that the most contentious rivalry is UNC-Duke, because we’re the only ones arguing on this topic.

Now that the low skill/all physical brute is in the NBA, enjoy you basketball.
