What colleges do you think have the most school spirit?

I think between UCLA-USC or Duke-UNC.

Colorado
Michigan
Ohio State
USC
Duke
Penn State
Florida
Clemson
Texas
Cal
Wisconsin

How can someone forget the obvious one? Nebraska.

We hold the NCAA record for the most consecutive sold out home games for college football: we've sold out since 1962, with an 85,000+ capacity stadium. When Nebraska travels - it's like a city that travels. It's a sea of red. There have been many instances where we've had more Nebraska fans at away games than home fans!

"Nebraska fans are also known for following their team on the road, such as in 2002 when 60,000 fans traveled to Pasadena to watch the Huskers play the Miami Hurricanes in the Rose Bowl[7] and in 2000 when Cornhusker fans took over Notre Dame Stadium"

The Nebraska women's volleyball team is consistently one of the best in the country and holds the NCAA record for attendance: 17,209 in attendance. The average attendance at a home volleyball game is more than 4,500!

That's just a start.

Yes, it was great to hear the 85,000 Nebraska fans all booing the team in unison this year. That was something.

Rivalries:
Mich Ohio st
Colorado Nebraska
Usc Ucla
Unc Duke

After my recent visit, I can assure you it is LSU.

Princeton has the most well-attended college reunion in the country, if not the world. I think that is telling.

Indeed it is. It involves school spirit that has nothing to do with athletics.

Rivalries (not in an order):
Michigan/Ohio State
Alabama/Auburn
Army/Navy
USC/UCLA
Florida/Georgia
UNC/Duke
Texas/Oklahoma
Cal/Stanford
Texas/Texas A&M
USC/Notre Dame

Wait until Bo Pelini turns it around. The fans weren't booing the team.. they were booing the coach.

Among the top schools Dartmouth and Princeton by a landslide. Dartmouth gets about 75-80% back up for reunions, Princeton is similar. Tons of alumni interaction/ activity. Lots of "I love Dartmouth/ Pton" talk.

Duke is up there, but in a different way.

I'd have to rank Notre Dame near the top. Real school spirit goes beyond showing up for football games and involves a student/school bonding experience that extends decades into the future.

Speaking of showing up for football games, I didn't see anyone mention my B-school alma mater, Tennessee. Want school spirit? Check out 108,000 maniacal fans singing/screaming "Rocky Top" in Neyland Stadium. An experience worth driving to Knoxville for.

Just wondering but how many Duke students go to their football games? Not that they have any reason to go.

I'm going to say Duke of course.

For example, attending my first Duke basketball game was honestly one of the most memorable experiences of my life -- the environment is just incredible.

Hopefully with the new head Coach, Cutcliffe, our football team can start to make progress. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Not to mention the amount of alumni giving...there seems to be a lifelong bond

Yet another discussion where the service academies are held out of the loop.

First off, the entire student bodies of all Army, Navy, and Air Force attend every single home football game.

As far as alumni go, each of these institutions has a small group of alumni, but when only 900 or so graduates each year, it's amazing that nearly 85% of the graduates show up for their reunions at the Naval Academy. It is more than school spirit. It's a fraternity, a brotherhood matched by no other place. We struggle together, we make tough decisions of loyalty each day to our classmates, the institution, and the Navy (or Army or Air Force). We fight wars together, we pass on our culture to other aspiring naval officers. It's so hard to describe, but you feel like you're part of the history here, and that you have a duty to serve and uphold the highest standards of our military.

Cameron crazies are too self-conscious. Dook's school spirit can't match that of Carolina's.

^ Of course, this statement sounds completely unbiased and is supported by something other than...nothing.

My list includes, in no particular order:

University of Texas
USC
Duke
Michigan
Florida
Notre Dame

What other school has kids who sleep outside for two months in line to see their basketball team play its rival?

Debate over.

Good point about the service academies, GoNavy... No other colleges offer the opportunity to work/serve after graduation with such a high concentration of fellow alumni and to stay close to classmates.

What other school has kids who sleep outside for two months in line to see their basketball team play its rival?

Debate over.

Schools with a stupid ticket distribution system. What a waste of time and energy.
