what colleges have the most single rooms?

what colleges have the most single rooms? and are available for first-years?

University of Chicago -- if you want a single, you can get one, even as a freshman.

I thnk Smith college (ranked #1 on princeton review for palaces like dorms) has like 70 percent singles... And i saw a video of their dorms and yes, they are awesome.

check out the ranking <a href="http://princetonreview.com/college/research/rankings/rankingDetails.asp?categoryID=6&topicID=47%5B/url%5D">http://princetonreview.com/college/research/rankings/rankingDetails.asp?categoryID=6&topicID=47</a></p>

Washington and Lee University has about 60% of on-campus students in singles as well. Every freshman who wanted one, got one.

I heard that Olin has a lot of singles.

McGill in Montreal-almost all singles

Vanderbilt has about half and half, but you'll get a single if you request one because more people want doubles.

after freshman year at connecticut college, you get a single.

Definitely NOT Boston College. We don't have any singles, unless you're an RA. Dumb ****.

^Same here. But I don't mind.

Singles suck. So many anti-social kids in them.

Oh yeah btw don't goto UCs. uhm there are so many ppl, they will stick you with triples with rooms meant for doubles, i hear... eek. (at USC (not bringing down the UCs but) triples are two rooms stuck together)

I suppose Columbia?

Cornell for first-years. In fact, there have been complaints at Cornell about freshmen who requested doubles being placed in singles against their will (this is a problem because the singles cost more). Upperclassmen at Cornell have a harder time getting singles, but most Cornell upperclassmen live off campus anyway.

I think Ferris State University has all singles for honors students. However, it's not know as a really great college, but their undergrad construction and HVAC programs are good, as are their optometry and pharmacy schools. It is pretty easy to get in the undergrad part and even the honors college though. I think the honors college only requires a 3.4 high school GPA and 40 community service hours total in HS.
