<p>I don't know much about International Relations and I'm considering what to major in. What sort of coursework would I do in International Relations and what sort of career and jobs would be available to me?</p>
<p>At hopkins you study Political science, economics a foreign language for at least four semesters and history. However, hopkins has one of the more rigorous programs, as well as the most esteemed. After, you can go to graduate school in IR--such as SAIS or GTown SFS and become a foreign service officer or work in finance et cetera. Just snoop around JHU-SAIS's career services web page.</p>
<p>I'm an IR major at Penn - we have to take econ, history and polysci courses, and write a senior thesis that builds upon what you've studied. Hopefully I'll be doing mine on globalization.</p>
