What countries are you from?

I'm from the Netherlands, I'm already in my fourth year, working towards an MA.

I'm from Northern Ireland, havent seen anyone else from the area going to US schools. I am in the equivalent of 10th grade I think, and I only just found out the SAT'S existed :/ I am very positive about doing well in my GCSE's (mostly A*/A) but as I have only 1 EC (piano) its nowhere near enough for any of the top US schools. I guess I'll have to put some serious work in over the next 3 and a half years..

i'm from singapore (:

I am from Netherlands, i am a junior in Us terms. Hope to get admission in us colleges

i am from the UK, and now i'm a junior at penn.

oh, are you enjoying yourself? i am currently looking at the linguistics programme at UPenn as an option...

lauraanne, what sort of grades did you get to get in there?

Toronto, Canada!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

fwoukje - philadelphia is a great city, and i've had a lot of fun here over the last two and a half years. I've never taken a bad class here either, but the social scene at Penn itself can be a bit trying...good linguistics department though (or so I hear, I've only taken one linguistics class.

gerard - grades wise I got all a*/a at GCSE and then AA(A)B at A Level (yes, i'm old enough to have done the old style ones). in terms of American testing i got 760V/650M and 750+ on SAT IIs. Looking at your other post, I'd say you don't need to worry too much - I didn't even think about applying until my L6th year. I don't think that they expect as much in terms of ECs either, I didn't really have a lot (key word - padding) and I got into a pretty good university! good luck!

I'm half Jordanian, half Kuwaiti with a Lebanese grandmother. I'm currently doing my A Levels at a British school here in Kuwait.

lauraanne! I'm applying as a linguistics major, but not to UPenn. Woohoo!

Belgrade, Serbia......

another Bulgarian here :)

Ghana. although I've lived in the US for quite a while

Göteborg, Sweden. I'm a dual citizen Swedish/American

Japan, but I live in the US.

Dublin, Ireland. I'm at college here (University College Dublin), but am thinking about coming to the US either as a transfer or for grad school.

Philippines, but im currently in Tokyo as an exchange student :D

I've studied all my life in the Philippines, but just moved to New York (had to miss grad...). Technically, I'm not an international student since I was born here, but I still consider myself as one, seeing as though I'm as new to this country as some of you are. :)
