Hi, I tried doing a little bit of research beforehand.
In the UK, you’re a mature student if you’re 21 by the time you begin your classes.
From the seems, it is as long as you’re over 18 in the US, you’re a “non-traditional” mature student?
And what does that mean for internationals? Thank you
Bump
18-19 and even 20 year olds in a traditional college setting (i.e. 4 year residence universities) is common. In reality, most students in the US pursuing a bachelors degree span the range. There are many past 21-22 who begin their studies.
Thank you for your response. I just wondered because after the age of 21 in the UK that’s when students are not eligible for a loan anymore.
You are an international applicant. The only loans you would be eligible for in the US, would be private loans co-signed by a US citizen or US legal permanent resident alien. So please don’t count on loans from the US to pay for your education. You need to look for funding in your home country.
