What did everyone do their last summer before freshman year?

I'm working, hanging out with friends, and going to China and Italy. Oh yeah, and college shopping. :)

I'm doing one internship and I'll be working (hopefully a lot because I'll most likely be living off campus) but other than that I just want to have fun. Immediately after graduation me and my three best girl friends are going to Montreal to party. I'm also planning a camping trip on Cape Cod where with all my friends and we're going to also stay in my friend's cabin in Rhode Island. My dream is to take a road trip to New Mexico because my friend has a cabin there and he'd let a bunch of us stay there but that might not happen.

Mostly I just want to have a ton of fun with all my friends and spend loads of time with my boyfriend before we have to be separated.

I went to Europe for a few weeks, and hung out at home.

I did the exact same thing I did for the 4 summers before that and the summer after freshman year. Same job, played tennis, and basically just hung out with my friends and watched movies the rest of the time. It's a bit hard to travel in the summer where I live so I never went on a trip or anything, but I live near beaches so I was already on vacation basically.

I just ran and read all summer. Caught up on a bunch of leisure reading. That and 95 mile weeks to prep for XC.

Just chilling with my friends, roadtrips, partying, basically a stress free time

go on a road trip from california to MA.

maybe slightly unrelated..
but where would you all recommend I look for a job? I don't really want to work as a hostess/waitress because I don't want to work weekend nights (yes, I may be a pain, but I want my social life). Though I still want a fairly well paying job...

any suggestions?

Worked as a resident camp counselor. It was my last summer as a 'kid' so I decided to work at the camp I went to as a kid....Didn't make much in the way of money and had some problems with other counselors (they were too young...another story entirely), but I did get to traipse around in the woods all summer long!
