What did you learn in school today?

Physics-Test
Chem-electron diagram stuff
English-Woman Warrior quiz and discussion

GPA 2.2
Math-C
Phys-C
Chem-D
English-A

98% of all teens has done or does drugs

I learned NOTHING today... in fact, I voiced my extreme disapointment with my day to the principal. I don't get up at 5AM to sit in a classroom with no teacher and no work... I would have rather slept and I would have accomplished just as much if I would have done so.

AP Lit- nothing, we had a sub who had plans but could not find our test. So, I walked out of the class(this is the second day this week it has happend) and went to the library.
AP Calc- we got a worksheet, but the sub gave out the wrong worksheet and did no care to find another. So, I worked on my art project.
AP Euro- watched a movie which I had already seen in a previous class.... I expressed concern to this teacher that the entire class had already seen the video but he insisted that it would benefit us to see it again...ummm, NO
AP Studio- didn't have it today but did see the teacher about arranging a field trip.

honors Spanish 3- nothing new
Safety edd- nothing
architectural drafting- electrical plans

Trig/PreCal-Long ass test
AP Euro-Talked about Luther, Calvin, The Reformation, Henry VIII...fun stuff...
Lit-Epics, Superman (we just finished the movie), poems
French 2- Umm, French? Hehe. Learned how to describe people.

APUS - Review for midterm, so nothing
PreCalc BC - Nothing
AP Chem - Lab, and that I have no sense of smell
French - Nothing
English - In-class essay

Waste of a day.

wow, anovice - 5AM !!??!!!

anyways, here's what today wuz like:

well, first i dragged myself to school (25 minute walk). I was all coated, booted, scarfed and hatted up, cuz it had been snowy and -20 yesterday so i expected the same today. But when i stepped outside the snow was melting and it was 12 degrees!! boy, that was annoying... :(

then classes:
math - utterly boring and annoying stuff about annuities and compound interest
american his AP - discussed Andrew Jackson for about 10 minutes, and then squandered the period ranting about Bush ;)
french - poetry (utterly pointless 4-liner poems...)
bio - genetics (one part of the day i enjoyed!)

and then i dragged myself home again... :)

so....yeah :)

Physics: Nothing, did a worksheet
Analysis: Nothing, did a worksheet
AP US: Learned about the Grant administration
German: Nothing, went over some exercises I've known how to do for over a year
Gym: Volleyball, (sadly) learned more here than anywhere else today. I realized that Igor's serves are returnable (though difficult to return), but he usually screws them up, so it's best just to wait for him to hit one out of bounds.
AP English: Talked about deconstructionist criticism.

Yeah.

haha this is the end of finals week for us and i had my no-brain-needed finals today and went home at noon. so all i really learned is in art during gesture drawing: i can't use charcoal without having at least half of the stuff on the paper somehow ending up on my face.

Physics: Nothing, had to leave early for a mentoring meeting

-Mentoring meeting: Learned that it is very very difficult leading a class of freshmen and getting them to do activities that make them learn about conflicts and winning/losing. (Has anyone heard of IGNITE mentoring?) It was very painful for me - I like paperwork better than handling people (and especially freshmen!).

APUSH: A little bit about Imperialism, Rudyard Kipling, and McClure's Magazine.

Spanish 3: NOTHING. We read a CNN article about the immigration cartoon in Mexico.

APCOMP/LANG: Not much except some stuff about writing intro. paragraphs for satire works.

On a different note, in English class, I learned that one of my friends went on my school's calculus teacher's computer to search for something and he saw the teacher's AIM SN and later checked his 'file. He posted in his profile that he was searching for a sleek, athletic woman. I've heard that while on his computer, he routinely closes the AIM windows when students come by his desk. It was very funny.

chem- took a quiz on balancing equations

ap bio- took a test on genetics

ap euro- discussed nationalism, assimilation

english- worked on research papers

pre-calc- took a test over logs/annuities

spanish- played jeapordy

aw i miss art classes, i really do :(

i've taken one art class. ever. and I hated it. :) no more photography for me

lol, me too! i just seem to have no artistic capability whatsoever... :)

haha, i'll trade someone some art talent if i could get music talent in return. my singing voice is a horror to behold. instruments flee from my presence. oh, the lucky well rounded. XD

I've given up on art, it just isn't for me :p

Lets see....

AP Chemistry: Vocab Quiz; Reviewed for quiz on Organic Chem and Lewis structures and bond angles and alkanes-so much fun
