what diversity will i bring to US college?

I dont have so much unique feature which would bring diverse in US.

OK, fine.

What do you bring other than diversity?

Do you have a diversity of thought?
of your activities?
of your goals?
Of who you want to help?

It would seem English is not your first language? Are you from another country? What is special about where you grew up or your culture?

Yes, my mother tongue is Nepali and m a girl from Nepal. I grew up following Hindu religion.

I don’t have any unique features too

You don’t have to bring ‘diversity’- you have to bring a person who will add to the community.

As a very prosaic example, a person who is good at building teams is important to a community. A community, like an orchestra, needs lots of people who bring specific skills / attributes- and it needs the people who help them work together to make something of those attributes. That’s one of the reasons that the competitive schools emphasize leadership: it’s great to have talented students, but who is going to get the student radio show on the air? who is going to pull the musicians together to be ready to perform?

Were you raised in a city or town in Nepal, or in a rural village? Did you grow up in a household with a large, extended family? How did your schooling differ from that of a typical US student?

Imagine yourself a few years from now, sitting in the college dorm with your new American friends and everyone is getting to know each other. What would you tell them that would give them a sense of who you are and the world you come from?

There is a sub-forum for discussing issues relevant to Nepalese students:

You might get good advice from other Nepalese people who are here in the US attending college.
