What do colleges expect for subject tests?

Is there data about that anywhere?

I'm looking at schools like Amherst, Swarthmore, Vassar, Macalester, etc, and I got 740, 740, 700. Since they only want 2 subject tests, I'm assuming they would just look at the two 740s. Do you think those scores are okay? (Sorry, I know that question gets annoying.)

You’re fine. I doubt your application would be buoyed up by those scores, but you’re well within the range of those who get accepted.

Example: A person with “SAT IIs: Lit: 710; Math Level II: 740; Spanish: 690” was accepted at Amherst.

Okay! Thank you. :stuck_out_tongue:
Did you find that example on CC or is that kind of thing listed somewhere?

It was on CC. Go to the Amherst section, then to the “Results” thread. Admittedly, a lot of the SAT II’s are 800, 790, 780 etc., but you need to remember that CC members do not represent average applicants; most of the CC members who were accepted were probably in the top 30% or so in terms of scores, so there are hundreds, if not thousands, who had lower scores than they did.

Most of that was based on speculation, haha. The numbers, for example, are not concrete. But I think it’s probably true - anyone should feel free to correct me if they think otherwise :)
