What do colleges look for in SOP for transfer admission?

Hello,
I need a few suggestions regarding the Statement of purpose.

what kind of details do colleges look for in a transfer undergrad applicant?

Currently , I've written about how I became interested in my particular area of study. Do i also need to add details such as why I'm applying as a transfer ?

Apart from this ,what other kind of details should i add and what should be the average length of an SOP?

Thanks

From my understanding: Why their school and how is it a good fit for you rather than the one you are currently attending.

yeah you might be right.Currently,I’ve only described about why I’m interested in my particular choice of study,

by the way, what should be the average length of an SOP??

more replies will be appreciated
thanks

How much emphasis should be put on why your current school is not a good fit?

^ I wouldnt say too much emphasis. You don’t want to come off as bashing your current school. Simply state the reasons why you and your current school should part ways all while explaining why the school you are applying to is a better fit and what attributes and/or goals your have for your future/career make school X a perfect match. So basically you are suppose to explain why you are transferring, why school X is the one for you, all while giving the reader(s) the opportunity to learn about you from your point of view. Once again, this is just my understanding from what I’ve been told my counselors and actual deans of admissions.
