So I know that you apply before senior year is over, so basically your senior grades can't affect your application, right?

I know that you also have to maintain a certain grade, but besides that what do colleges look for in your senior year??? More generally, what CAN they look for?

Talking about competitive schools here...

Thanks in advance!

maintaining or exceeding your GPA. They know that senioritis happens to everyone, they’re looking for the people who overcome it.

leadership positions in clubs/teams/organizations

community service and work experience

just show that you’re a well-rounded person

So during the application process, do colleges still look at how rigorous your senior schedule is???

Absolutely! I think they also might look at whether you continue what you have begun. So, for example, if you took AP Calc AB as a Junior, they might expect you to sign up for AP Calc BC as a Senior. If you took 3 years of Spanish, the competitive colleges may expect you to take the 4th year of Spanish as well, etc.
