What do I do after Junior year? Senior year schedule ideas?

I admit that I really screwed up my gpa with a ton of Bs (and 4s) during sophomore and freshman year. But this year i’m aiming for all As and straight 5s in all my classes. What are some courses or extracurricular activities that I should take to beef up my resume?

I would say definitely take AP 12th grade English, Next level of spanish, AP Microeconomics, AP Comparative Politics, and Calculus 3 + Linear Algebra (if offered at your school). You could also try AP Computer Science principles, I heard it’s pretty easy (at my school at least). Chose whatever elective you find interesting… It’s going to be your senior year! How did you get to AP Physics C without Physics 1? Also, how did you go from Geometry straight to Precalculus?

I will be taking AP Eng Lit, but the next level Spanish offered is AP Spanish Lang but our teacher isn’t very good so I will not be taking Spanish. As for Physics C, I took Physics 1 in 8th grade, I also took algebra II in 8th grade. I went into a “special program” (i can’t really label it, i went to a competitive math class so they gave us special privileges course wise). Calc 3 is offered in the town University, but I don’t have much of a interest in it so I doubt that I’ll take it. Thanks for the advice!

I think in the above post you meant AP Eng Lang (because you’re taking Lit this year), so I would definitely say take that, either AP Comparative Politics or AP Euro, AP Microeconomics, and AP Computer Science Principles. Other than that, see if you can grab a math and a science for senior year, because it will look good to colleges to see you have taken those all four years.

I took one look at your schedule and I got panicked FOR you haha I congratulate you on getting through such a tough schedule! Since you took a lot of your APs already, you will probably find your senior year to be a walk in the park compared to the other years when you had 5 APs to deal with at the same time.

Also - 4s on the tests aren’t horrible! I was so happy when I got 4s from my two tests last year. They get you college credit at most colleges (at least as far as I’ve seen). You could have done better, but you could’ve done way worse, too. So congrats, because there are a lot of people who would kill for your 4s!

You also look good on your extracurriculars! Especially with your academic course rigor.
