I'm not sure what classes I'm going to take senior year..any suggestions?
My GPA right now is a (weighted) 4.6 (nonweighted) 3.7
How much would my GPA go up if I aced all my junior year classes?
Thanks guys!

^How did you go from Geometry to Algebra 1 [Which is a lower class] to Pre-Calculus?

Oh my gosh I meant Algebra 2 Honors ahaha!

That’s okay!

Also, nice AP’s and I saw your other thread, so I have the background info you might have left out here.

However, posting in the Rate My Schedule Thread would likely be better for what you are looking for.

As for your senior schedule, why don’t you post what your school offers, as I currently have no idea what they offer :p

Doesn’t Physics B require some knowledge of calculus?

^No, AP Physics B is based on Algebra II and Algebra I.

AP Physics C is Calculus based

Ah okay. Looks good then!

^Actually, that is based on the CollegeBoard’s new AP Physics B, which is going to be called AP Physics 1 and 2. So basically, it’ll be like how AP Physics C is, with two tests, but you can’t do both Physics C and 1/2 in one year and AP Physics C will stay as it is, but each AP Physics, 1 and 2, will be taught as a full year course.

When you say AP English 3, do you mean AP Language and Composition or AP Literature and Composition. I’d recommend the first one in 11th grade and the second one in 12th grade, if your school offers both.

If you’re taking Physics B in 11th (I guess it will be Physics 1), then in 12th, you’ll take AP Physics 2. Be forewarned, though. Some colleges don’t accept AP Physics B courses at all for credit, just AP Physics C. I don’t know if you’ll be able to skip from AP Physics 1 to AP Physics C (I doubt it, and if you aren’t taking any calculus classes, I would not recommend it).

You are very brave for jumping from one AP to seven. Good luck.

^I think by AP English 3, he means the 3rd English class in his school’s progression track.

Also, maybe OP doesn’t like calc or intense math, but otherwise, solid advice!

I don’t know about you, but going from one to SEVEN AP’s doesn’t sound like the smartest thing to do, for the sake of your gpa and sanity. Id suggest maybe taking one or two of the junior year ones with ap euro as a sophomore and then distribute the rest of the ones you plan to take between junior/senior year.

^Perhaps, OP can handle it. I know many schools teach AP stuff at the Honors level, and my school even weights the two the same!

LOL i’m a girl but okay
It’s AP lang and comp :)

^Oh, my bad!

I just got flamed on another thread for saying Mr. or Mrs., so this is a surprise!

Haha! it’s okay!

Thanks! I noticed you took the ever-so-rare AP Comparative Government. Did you like it? If you did, then I’d recommend you take AP US History and/or AP US Government and Politics next year.

Also, AP Calc AB or BC seems like a great senior-year class, especially since most colleges take it for credit or higher placement, at least more than most AP’s

Uh! I haven’t taken AP comp yet, but a lot of my friends liked the class + my favorite teacher is teaching it LOL.
also, I’m just taking honors US history because the APUSH class at my school is so ridiculous and the teacher is close to crazy. I’m definitely thinking of AP calc!
