I forgot to check the box that indicates that I do receive free/reduced lunch, but when I went back to correct it, that part is gray and I can't click on it anymore. A college I applied to made corrections, but apparently this is the only incorrect thing left now. The only thing I can do is change the "will file" to "already completed" for my parents' tax return.

Kuromi,

Call the Federal Student Aid Information Center 1-800-433-3243. Do it now before the Federal Govt shut-down. The Service Center may have to mail a paper SAR correction form that you will need to mail back.

I had a similar problem with 1 College telling us our SAR had two unanswered asset questions, even though FAFSA website says it is complete and correct. I went online to make the edits, and discovered the two questions are greyed-out. I cannot answer/change them online.

More delays due to ■■■■■■■■ government programmers who cannot even QC their own processes. I had one rep at the FAFSA phone center admit today that they found a “glitch” that affected “some” FAFSA’s. They then proceeded to re-process those affected, my D’s included. (I thought someone was getting into our account so I gave them call).

Also, it seems that some schools haven’t gotten the word that students are not asked a question if it does not apply to them or their parents. To them it appears that information is missing. Online applications work beautifully that way, but FinAid offices don’t seem to understand this.

Good luck.
