What do I have to Do to get in?

So im going to apply for fall 2011, and I wanted to know what i have to do to stand a reasonable chance of getting in since i really want to go to W&M.

Im an international student living in Pakistan, but i have a green card so i guess im an American citizen too. I gave the SAT and got M:730 CR:640. Hmm I go to a british system school so we dont do GPA instead he have GCE O and A levels.
In my O levels I got 7A's and 3 B's. Im going to give my A levels in may and Sat 2's probably in Oct or Nov.
I already have about 150+ hours of community service and im planning on doing some more.
by how much do i need to improve my SAT scores and what else do i have to do in order to get in?
Ty for your help!

you need to show them you are more than just numbers… do you do things outside of school? a sport? instrument? community service that you are passionate about?

Your SAT is probably ok… of course higher is always better.

they really emphasize expressing yourself as a person… i submitted a video for my supplement, and i think that made the difference - it’s an advantange that they let you write/do anything for the supplement

and they don’t require SAT II’s, but if you submit them i think they’ll consider them
i submitted math IIc and spanish by mistake, but they told me they would still use them

If you have a green card you are considered a permanent resident, not a U.S. citizen (although for purposes of admission and financial aid there’s little difference). Certainly your experiences abroad will be looked upon favorably as will your experience in a different school system. As others have stated, just make the application as 3-dimensional as possible so the Committee can get a sense of who you are as a student and a person.
