What do I put on the common app for ACT?

hey everyone! so i’m in a bit of a sitch.

on the common app, as you probably know, there’s a section where we’re supposed to report our testing history and test scores. now, after receiving an unsatisfactory score on the SAT, i decided last minute to take the ACT on the december testing date (note: i’m a high school senior). so i don’t have my test scores in yet.

if i say in that section that i’ve taken the ACT once, it asks for my scores, but I know that I won’t have them in for the deadline. but if i say i’ve done 0 sittings/planning to take 0 sittings, then that’s technically not correct, and i don’t want the colleges to think that I haven’t done a test. so what should i put there?

thanks, and happy holidays!

bump!

You will need to report that you have taken at least one of the tests. Some schools require that you report all scores, so you would need to report that you have taken both the SAT and the ACT. Check with each school’s website to see what they require.

Did you take any practice ACT tests to see whether or not your score would be better than your SAT score?

Some people don’t self report
