what do recruiters look for

hey hey
i'm a sophomore undergrad at wharton, and im getting a little anxious about recruiting/internship/competition in general. i feel like i don't even stack up to so many candidates for internship positions, and ultimately, for jobs. I know I'm only a sophomore, but what kinds of things should i be doing that will stand out to employers? what do they look for on a resume? i know you'll say business experience, but i'm talking about getting a summer internship. what else can i do?
thanks

Funny you should as this.....the Wall Street Journal just published their annual ranking based on responses from recruiters......some of it is online. I see you are at Penn.....beware they view Whartonites as arrogant and entitled.

Hazmat, those WSJ rankings really don't mean too much.

The rankings don't but the OP was asking about recruiters and this particular article details the questions and the value that recruiters placed on specific qualities......I guess I should have been specific about the data. The rankings aren't the thing for the OP....I agree they don't mean much....especially when you look at what firms hire out of what programs.

focus people!
