What do you guys do in your AP classes after you take the exam?

Calc: Watching Donald Duck’s Mathmagics!
US: Actually doing stuff. I think we’re talking more in depth about some war (not sure which).
French: Watching movies!
Bio: Nothing. Our teacher doesn’t want to come in and do anything. (aka, no class!) :)

In world history, we’re going to watch Avatar because it has to do with the “conquest of natives.”
And I don’t think we’re going to have an actual final, but we’ll still probably have to do some work…I would get bored of only watching movies!

APUSH: 10 pg research paper due in 3 weeks
AP Lang: watching movies then something else…
Psych: Social experiment

In my school, all AP classes end and you have to do a project of your choosing, the length of which is based on the number of AP classes you are taking (2.5 hours per week per class until school ends). It can literally be anything. Someone once did a project on birthday cake. But yeah, I don’t have to go to class anymore :).

AP Lang we’re reading Hamlet.

APUSH we have to pick a movie about anything in US History and do a presentation on its historical accuracy. Luckily many of my favorite movies fit that category, haha.

10th grade in a 9th-10th high school; hence, our World History AP class is messed up as it is a two-year course for 9th/10th graders, and you take the AP exam in 10th grade. I am going to be enjoying the freshmen freak out about world history finals. Oh, retribution, thou art sweet.

AP Euro. Watching historic movies. Our project is going to be picking a movie from a certain time period about a certain time period, and we’re writing a paper about it, etc. All in all, GREAT FUN, and grade booster.

AP Human Geography. Lol, literally, our teacher said this when we asked her what we’re doing, “On Friday after AP exam? You’re working on your project, because I’ll be absent. Monday and Tuesday, we’re presenting. Wednesday? We’re pushing all our desks together and playing Trivial Pursuit.” I suggested that the HGAP teachers and the WHAP teachers have a massive trivia competition, since they’re all competitive as hell. Also, reinacting trench warfare (apparently the regs kids got to do this for WWI?!) sounds like fun. Our project is some sock puppet presentation about a folk tale in Africa; I need a 100 on this lololol.

World History AP. LOLOLOL. The only AP class I’m actually doing something in. In our school, you can choose between Humanities (2-year course) and World History (1-year course). When I chose Humanities, it was a World History honors course (along with an elective English honors credit), and sophomores did not take the WHAP exam. Then they changed it. We had two textbooks, one about culture, philosophy, art, literature, etc (actual college textbook as compared to an ap-geared one), and the other about world history. SO YEAH. We’re the first year of sophomores in Hum to take the WHAP exam. Which means that we still have a class to take. Quizzes, too. It just carries out the branches of humanities from post-modern to …contemporary day (which is freaking amazing. Best class ever, seriously).
Project: Be an artist from the 20th century and participate in an ‘isms’ movement: Impressionism, Surrealism, Dada, Post-Impressionism, Expressionism, etc etc

So it goes.

In AP Euro we’re watching movies and doing a kind of fun debate thing, no work really though

AP Chem- we had to rush through electrochemistry before the exam, so my teacher gave us the smallest homework assignment ever. We have two miniquizzes next week- he dropped a hint that one of the questions will be from this years ap exam. then were doing labs for the last week for seniors. who knows what the juniors will do…

AP Lit- My teacher gave us a ton of creative writing assignments- we have to write a 2 page paper on a setting, a cento poem, another type of poem, and a short story. Also we have dramarama- take a scene from one of the plays we read and act it out however we wish. My group is doing a scene from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead in the style of Monty Python and the Holy Grail

AP BC Calc- I took it online, so I have a free period now.

AP Psychology- We watched Finding Nemo and did an “extensive” packet that the teacher may go over entirely in class.

AP Music Theory- 32 measure composition project for 3 voices. We have to perform it live. I’ve completed 8 measures so far.

WHAP - 4 to 6 page paper analyzing a movie for its historical significance and/or its historical accuracy and depiction of life/events during a certain time period.

I’m stuck among Casablanca, Dr. Strangelove, Gladiator, and maybe Lawrence of Arabia. Leaning to Casablanca, but any other ideas?

most kids at my school skip the AP classes after the exam.

in my lang class, we’re reading a book.
in my world class, we’re watching a movie.

AP Calc BC: Making a math-related music video (like the ones on youtube haha)
AP Psych: Movie marathon
AP Chem: We hold a “harry potter show” for local 3rd graders that’s been running annually for several years now where we basically do various chemistry demos with a vague story attached.

ap lang watching the graduate and reading
apush projects and paper
ap calc project of ap problems/ fun math
ap physics learning about financing and relaxing

many you guys are so lucky…

ap calc bc- project and calc stuff that wasnt on the exam, final
ap physics- physics olympics-4 projects+rube goldberg
ap enviro-movie project

AP Lit - I still can’t believe this…we’re actually going to go in depth into reading hamlet…though I read this in 10th grade, so it’s all good.
AP Stats - again, work. read a book and make a project on it.
AP Gov - since government is supposed to be a semester class, now we’re studying econ.
AP envi-sci - heck do i know, i didn’t take the class. but several of my friends say they’re doing some recycling apprentice project or something. :p

so in short, I actually have work to do. -_-

ap calc bc- we had a 4 part final (a practice ap exam) after the ap test and we had 7 days to finish it. afterwards its a free period (rock band, wii, etc)
ap lang- watching movies, eating, study hall

In APUSH, we’re watching movies. We just finished “Amistad” and we’re going to watch “Saving Private Ryan” next, it sounds like. One of the seniors in the class brought a popcorn maker. :D

In AP Chem, the day we took the exam, we went tailgaiting at a baseball game that night. Right now we’re doing a lab , and then we’re going to tie-dye t-shirts and play with dry ice and play outside when it’s nice out…I’m so glad I took this class.

APUSH: movies. Dick (this super weird movie about Nixon), Casablanca, some other stuff.
AP Physics: Grrr. I have hella hw and stuff to make up, and then next week we have a final! But during the AP weeks our teacher was hella chill and basically let us study whatever we wanted/play cards. : )

AP Computer Science - Right now, people have been either playing with rubik’s cubes or been playing pokemon. It’s been a very fun and relaxing class, haha. I’m not sure if we’re having a final and we haven’t had any grades this term, lol.

AP English -We’re finishing Huck Finn, and reading Our Town. Luckily, our final is a project. We had a nice breakfast in class the other day.

APUSH - Some movies, a project, and general goofing off.

AP Chem - Since I’m the only junior taking it, after the seniors leave, he’s having me test out a bunch of labs for next year kids in AP Chem. I convinced our teacher to let us do a smores lab though :D

This sucks! My AP Lunch teacher just assigned us an 8 page research paper on popular foods in America, due on Thursday. 8 pages!

AP French - making food all week, then watching French films.
AP Calc AB - learning BC material. Ugggggggggh. I’m a senior. I don’t need BC material >[
AP Lit - reading Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, and working on final projects
