What do you like/dislike among what's considered trendy among the opposite gender?

<p>For guys, I don't like designer jeans, "thug life", pretentiousness, and arrogant d-ou-che-baggery. I like nice guys. </p>

<p>I stare mindlessly too! I don't realize it for a couple minutes and I always hope the person I was staring at doesn't think I'm interested in them in that way. Also, when I make random eye contact with random people... sometimes with the same person multiple times. I hope that person doesn't think I am doing that for any reason. It just happens. You know?</p>

<p>I'm a sucker for:
Fleece of any kind
Jeans tight through the thigh
Plain clothing in one or two tones...no designs, etc.
Clothes that aren't designer -- I like a little modesty in outfit :)
Anything really off-the-wall, random clothes found exclusively on Goodwill trips
SCARVES
...
That's basically it.</p>

<p>Function>Form for me. I like it when a girl dresses for comfort (errr, and is hygienic :D) and not for appearance. I don't find makeup, tattoos, excessive jewelery, uncomfortable shoes, useless handbags, etc. etc. etc. at all esthetically appealing.</p>

-UGGS!!!! holy crap, I cannot communicate to you how much I loathe them. They're hideous.
-highlights that are visibly different than your natural hair color. When you've got that huge brown spot in the center of your head, you look terrible.
- fake tans. Get a real one. No spray-on or orange-y look.
- tube tops. No. Just.....no. It makes you look fat, trust me.</p>

<p>LIKES:
- tight jeans, especially great brands like True Religion, 7, R&R, etc.
- Nice dresses. I'm a total sucker for a dress-up girl.
- those semi-sueded jumpsuit pants from Victoria's Secret. Omg they make your ass look great.
- high heels.
- a girl who can pull off Chuck Taylors is schweet.
- Toms. TOMS</a> Shoes Philanthropic and adorable!!
- most American Apparel stuff. Some of it is a little......out there, but most of it is cute.</p>

Game cube: something I actually prefer
Axe spray: smells like air freshener and is severely overpriced

Frayed visor silghtly tilted to the side upside down: makes me wanna take it and run
Big black d....: whatever floats your boat but I would hate you for it</p>

<p>As for girls: Highlights in every color of the rainbow, orange skin that is not a product of spray on or that is a product of spray on, spray on tans, tattoos, piercings, chains, emo stuff, black nail paint or sharpie</p>

Guys who wear skater shoes but don't skate, skinny jeans, too long, shaggy hair that looks extremely dirty and gross, baggy clothes.</p>

Uggs (stand for UGLY), fat girls who wear tight clothes is atrocious, too much make-up, skater shoes</p>

<p>Dislikes: Sagging pants ick, walking Abercrombie advertisements, looking too grubby (like haven't showered in three weeks grubby), that whole "I'm way too cool to give a **** about anything " attitude, steroided up buff </p>

<p>Likes: matching shirts/shoes/hats (some guys in my school pull it off really well), cool T-shirts, nice button down shirts with jeans, most hats, a smile.</p>

<p>This is pretty retarded because nobody complains when non athletes wear Nikes or Shox or any kind of running shoe. It simply doesn't matter. Skate shoes are cheaper, especially when you just want a solid color shoe that looks decent. Why pay for $70 all white Nikes when you can go to Target and by $10-20 white skate shoes? It just doesn't make sense.</p>

<p>And I hate when girls try to be too trendy. Wear things that match and "melt" with your body. Your figure should be very easy to see (without actually showing a ton of skin).</p>
